Transportation
Boys Prep will not provide bus transportation starting in the 2018-19 school year due to the new facility's convenient location. The future home of Boys Prep Bronx will be 192 East 151st Street, convenient from the 2, 4, and 5 trains as well as the BX 1, 2 and 19 bus. Boys Prep will have student Metrocards, provided by the NYC Department of Education. For more information, please visit Office of Public Transportation General Education Eligibility.

After School Programming
HElium provides our scholars with after school academic enrichment and engagement opportunities that will increase their love for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math while preparing them for college and career, with the emphasis on literacy and critical thinking skills.
Program Details:
- After School Is Open Mondays through Fridays
- First day: Monday, September 16, 2019
- Last day: Friday, June 12, 2020
- Hours: 3:15 PM to 5:30 PM
- Cost: $30/month
- Meals: Students will be given a snack
- Grades served: 1st grade - 6th grade
Activities include:
- Homework help, Chess, Art, STEM, Music, Drama, Soccer

Uniforms
K-2
Shirts
- Gray long/short sleeve polo, navy crew neck sweatshirt, fleece, v-neck sweater, or vest ( all shirts must have Boys Prep logo)
Pants
- Plain navy blue pants (can be from any store/brand)
Shoes
- All black or navy sneakers
- Socks must be worn every day. Students may wear socks in the color of their choice.
- Only sneakers may be worn during the school day. Sneakers must not have lights, wheels, or anything that is unsafe or distracting.
Note:
Hoodies, non-uniform outerwear, jeans sweatpants, and bottoms intended for athletics are not permitted. Bottoms may be purchased through the supplier or at your local retailer. If your scholar needs to wear rain or snow boots due to the weather, they must bring sneakers to change into once they get to school. All scholars must wear a Boys Prep uniform every day. Community Council
The Community Council is a vibrant family-run organization that exists to give families and staff a unified voice in the school. All families are members of the Community Council and are expected to volunteer for at least two hours during the school year. Community Council officer elections are held at the end of each school year for the following school year.
